For more than two decades, Jennifer has been deeply committed to advocating for disability rights and shaping special education policy, focusing on children aged birth through 21. She specializes in evaluating and enhancing the capacity of state educational agency staff, particularly in special education data, dispute resolution, and general supervision under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
As an expert in special education policy analysis and its impact on individuals with disabilities, her commitment to improving education access has taken her across the country, delivering presentations on best practices for IDEA compliance. Jennifer is a sought-after speaker on topics of ableism, special education, and advocacy, offering a unique perspective as a woman living with a disability.
Beyond her special education expertise, Jennifer is a passionate disability advocate. She has empowered thousands through self-advocacy trainings, increased access to public accommodations, and testified before the U.S. Department of Justice on ADA regulations' impact on people with disabilities.
Jennifer holds a B.A. in political science and women's studies from San Diego State University, an M.S. in education with a concentration in disability policy from Syracuse University, and a J.D. from Syracuse University. With her wealth of experience and unwavering dedication, Jennifer continues to drive positive change in the field of disability rights and special education policy.
